A Two-Day SWAP Management Board Meeting in Phnom Penh

On July 25-26, 2022, the Faculty of Forestry Science of the Royal University of Agriculture hosted a two-day Management Board Meeting. The meeting was coordinated by Hamburg-Harburg University of Technology (TUHH) as part of the project "Sustainable Solid Waste Management and Policies - SWAP".

Phnom Penh: On July 25-26, 2022, the Faculty of Forestry Science of the Royal University of Agriculture hosted a two-day Management Board Meeting. The meeting was coordinated by Hamburg-Harburg University of Technology (TUHH) as part of the project “Sustainable Solid Waste Management and Policies - SWAP”. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss management guidelines for the partners and to have general feedback on the progress of the project implementation, together with quality assurance for the year 2021. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Kerstin Kuchta, Vice-President of Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg (TUHH) and Chair of SWAP Project, and participated by H.E. Chiek Ang, Assistant Technical Advisor attached to the Ministry of Environment; Mr. Pin Tara, Vice-Rector of University of Heng Samrin Thbongkhmum, Mr. Kim Soben, Dean of Faculty of Forestry Science and RUA’s SWAP Project Coordinator, Mr. Sam Phalla, Executive Director of COMPOSTED and 11 partners (universities and stakeholders) in Southeast Asian countries, including Chiang Mai University (CMU) and Maejo University (MJU) in Thailand, Royal University of Agriculture (RUA) and University of Heng Samrin Thbongkhmum (UHST) in Cambodia, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF) and Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (HUAF) in Vietnam, and EU partners (IFOA, EuroTraining, POLIBA). Results of the training included an agreed management guideline, enhanced quality assurance, and designed training hubs for each higher education institution.
