Introduction #8: Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry, Vietnam

Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF), established in 1969, is one of leading centers for training, research and technology transfer in the fields of fisheries, aquaculture, agriculture, forestry, rural development, environmental and natural resource management Vietnam as well as a prestigious center in Southeast Asia.

Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF), established in 1969, is one of leading centers for training, research and technology transfer in the fields of fisheries, aquaculture, agriculture, forestry, rural development, environmental and natural resource management Vietnam as well as a prestigious center in Southeast Asia.

The main campus is located in Thai Nguyen City which covers a land area of more than 100 ha characterized. The university is composed of 08 Faculties, 02 Institutes, 08 Centers and 08 Offices. In addition, TUAF has a Forestry Research Center in Son Duong District, Tuyen Quang province with an area of 138 ha and Research Center for Temperate Plant in Phia Den, Nguyen Binh District, Cao Bang Province with an area of 19 ha in order to serve the research activities.

For the time being, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry has more than 4.000 undergraduate students and 1.036 graduate students. We have 454 staffs, with 291 teaching staffs in which more than 100 are holders of doctorate degrees (06 Professors and 30 Associate Professors). Currently, TUAF has 20 undergraduate programs, 9 master’s and 8 doctoral programs in Vietnamese. Also TUAF offered 4 international programs which collaborate with University of California-Davis (USA), University of New England, Australia and University of Greifswald, Germany
