Introduction #7: Royal University of Agriculture

Royal University of Agriculture (RUA), located in Phnom Penh, is a leading public higher education institution in Cambodia, and to participate in the seven SWAP project consortium.

Royal University of Agriculture is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of the Royal Government of Cambodia. The university was established in 1964. The vision is to become the premier agricultural university in Cambodia recognized for world-class excellence in education, research, and extension. The university played a vital role in the educational programs associated with agriculture and relevant sectors for all levels focused on education, research, and extension, particularly capacity building and research relating to sustainable development strategies. The university promoted research culture through workshop participation and training both locally and internationally so that the students have the opportunity to improve their knowledge from different environments.
